County Set to Raise Business License Fee to Meet Budget Shortfall
Hoping to gain additional revenue, Lyon County, Nevada is debating raising its business license fee. The $50 increase, which would apply to all businesses, could bring an additional $100,000 in revenue for the financially struggling county. Opponents argue the increase will be detrimental and force businesses to cut expenses elsewhere. Also in this plan, the business application fee would increase from $20 to $25.
