State of California Enforces Garment License Law
The California Department of Industrial Relations has been conducting inspections across the state specifically targeting screen printing business. California requires screen printing businesses to have a garment manufacturing business license because they participate in the finishing of a garment. Businesses that operate without a garment business license face a fine of $100 plus an extra $1000 if any employees were working at the business during the time of the inspection.
