City of Charlotte, NC to Refund Business License Fees
The City of Charlotte, NC is to refund about $2.6 million in business license fees that were collected by mistake from building contractors. This move is the result of a settlement from a class-action lawsuit brought by Vision Ventures Construction in January. Construction contractors in Charlotte had been paying as much as $10,000 for a license when they should have been paying only $10.
