Reselling Your Season Tickets? You Might Need a Business License.

There can be a gray area in business license laws between reselling tickets for face value and reselling tickets for profit, commonly know as "ticket scalping." A man was ticketed in Tuscaloosa, AL for trying to resell his season tickets before a Crimson Tide football game. The Tuscaloosa Police Department has a policy that a business license is required for those reselling tickets. However, the city's Department of Revenue interprets the law as being more lenient, requiring only those selling tickets as a "business practice" to be licensed.

Trump had unknowingly rented a piece of his 113-acre Seven Spring estate in Bedford, New York to Gadhafi, but stepped in to have him removed upon learning of the situation. Trump contacted Bedford officials about the nuisance, and the town quickly deemed Gadhafi’s tent was illegal because he was never approved a permit or license to construct a temporary residence.
