The community of Queen Creek, Arizona hopes to generate additional revenue by increasing business license fees. Town officials hope the move helps improve the budget, which is hurting from the economic downturn.
The first fee increase since 1994 will call for businesses within city limits to pay $40 rather than $35 to renew their business license. Those outside city limits will be asked to pay $60 rather than $50 to renew. All new license applications will increase from $50 to $60.
