All businesses in Gwinnett County, Georgia will soon receive a letter from the state asking for proof of immigration status from all business license holders and applicants. Applicants must be either US citizens, legal permanent residents, qualified aliens or non-immigrants before they can renew their current license or apply for a new license. If they do not meet these requirements, the license will be denied or not renewed unless further steps are taken to establish their status.
