Some cities such as Alexandria, Virginia renew licenses for all businesses on a set date, in this case it’s March 2, 2010. Other cities renew based on when the original license was filed. For example, in Cathedral City, California business license renewals are renewed one year from the date they were issued. However all business owners are responsible for filing timely renewals whether they have received their renewal notice or not.
