The Idaho Legislature has introduced a bill that would crack down on businesses that knowingly hire illegal workers. Businesses that hire illegal workers could have their business licenses suspended for up to a year. Employment violations such has hiring illegal workers are currently under federal jurisdiction, but the Idaho Legislature feels that the state should intervene. Legislators think that the federal government is not doing enough on this issue.
