Arizona’s new Immigration Law is causing a stir around the country. One lesser discussed impact of the law is the effect on business licenses. If a business is found to employ illegal immigrants the state has the right to suspend that businesses license. The first offense is a 10 day suspension, while second offense is permanent revocation of the business license. According to Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce, “If you hire a person in the country illegally knowingly, you’ll lose your license.”
