The city of Beverly Hills has strict regulations on food carts. Peddlers’ permits are required for employees in addition to health permits and business tax registration. The city also has restrictions on where you can park, for how long, and at what time. Food trucks can only park at any given location for up to 30 minutes at a time; they then have to move and aren’t allowed to come back to within 500 feet of that location for 4 hours. They also cannot park in any residential area after 6 pm. While Beverly Hills hasn’t banned food trucks, they have made it difficult for them to operate within their city.
