Despite the economy trekking along at a snail’s pace, Fullerton, CA had impressive number of business licenses applied for, for restaurants. Within the last month, eight new restaurants applied for a business license. The restaurants varied from sit-down to fast food and from Greek to Japanese.

The diverse types of restaurants applying for licenses is important because it could be indicating that the restaurant industry as a whole is recovering in Fullerton, not just a portion of it. Despite licenses being applied for, it does not guarantee the restaurant will open. But city officials are optimistic because usually business owners do not take the time to fill out the paperwork for a license unless they are serious.

The new restaurants should bring a more diverse selection to choose from for residents. Such restaurants include a standard Quiznos, but also include more exotic options such as Mestizos Grill and Pho Lover, which serves Vietnamese cuisine.
