On Monday night, a new ordinance was approved by the City Council of Anderson, SC. The new ordinance will allow motor-less vehicles such as rickshaws, pedicabs and horse-drawn carriages to operate in the city. All businesses offering motor-less transportation services will need to apply for a business license, and anyone operating the vehicles will have to have a driver’s license.
The approved ordinance brought excitement about adding such services to the city because as council member Tom Dunaway said “it would add to the charm of downtown Anderson”.
