The City Council of Banning, CA approved an annual $50 business license for massage therapy business owners or operators. As it is, the business license fee does not include finger-printing or a background check on the massage therapy business owners, even though some massage therapists in Banning are urging the Council to include it.The new business license came into effect as it became necessary for the city to be able to keep track of massage therapy businesses established in the city. The new business license does not affect individual certified massage therapists or beauty salons that employ certified massage therapists.
