The importance of following local business license requirements to the letter has again been highlighted as a South Florida entrepreneur works to pay a fine for not keeping up-to-date with his paperwork.
While inspectors visiting Papa Pizza in downtown Delray Beach found the food to be fine, they pulled the owner up on a range of technical violations of his business license, the Sun- Sentinel newspaper has reported.
In particular, the restaurant owner will be required to appear at a hearing before the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation as he failed to show the inspection team proof that the venue’s food manager was properly certified and that all employees had been given full training.
Speaking to the paper, the owner said that after the inspection he “felt horrible,” though the local authorities have permitted him to keep the restaurant open and even push ahead with re-naming plans.
Meanwhile, the same newspaper has reported that three other South Florida restaurants ran afoul of state inspectors over the past few days, with all of them having to close their doors to the public.
