Company obtains microbrewery business license

A brewer has managed to obtain a microbrewery business license to operate in San Luis Obispo County, California.

Tap It Brewing Co. will produce its beers at a 10,000 square foot site, the Drinks Business Review reported, selling its first two beers, an India pale ale and an American pale ale, to businesses in California.

The company has plans to distribute the ales outside of the state in the future.

Lead brewer John Huggins told the news provider that the microbrewery has a reverse osmosis system with inline UV filters, which enable the site able to produce 7,000 gallons of ale a day.

“Whether it’s a citrus note from our Cascade hops, or the light caramel from our Special Roast malted barley, every taste from intense to subtle will shine through,” he said.

Since obtaining the business license, Tap It Brewing has been able to supply its new ales to local retailers operating in San Luis Obispo city.
