S. Pasadena market vendors get reduced business license fee

Market vendors operating at California’s South Pasadena Farmers Market will soon be allowed to pay a reduced fee on their business license.
The South Pasadena City Council unanimously voted to exempt vendors from paying the Business Improvement Tax from the license, saving $36 a year.
Now, stallholders will pay $109 a year for a business license.

Scottsboro business license revenue declines

Business license revenues collected in Scottsboro, Ala., fell in the 2009-10 fiscal year, new figures show.
According to finance director Rick Wheeler, the city raised $776,303 last year from business licenses, while the year before revenue was $834,214.
