North Dakota Wal-Mart seeks new business license

A Wal-Mart store in Grand Forks, North Dakota, is seeking a new business license, it has been reported.

The Grand Forks Herald has obtained city documents that show that the store has applied for an off-sale liquor license and extended its hours of operation.

If approved, liquor would be sold from a store stationed within Wal-Mart called Ozark Spirits. According to the news provider, it will be the second supermarket to sell liquor in Grand Forks.

According to the news source, the city finance committee is also set to discuss changing city business license fees. However, it is thought that this will be changed by resolution rather than by altering the ordinance, which would require voting.

Indeed, a resolution change would also make it easier to implement incremental annual increases to the fees.
