A rapper has withdrawn his own business license on the restaurant he co-owns after just four months in operation.
Flav’s Fried Chicken in Clinton, Iowa, has closed after rapper Flavor Flav claimed the restaurant’s staff was not being paid.
Former “The Surreal Life” star went into business with restaurant manager Nick Cimino, but the pair fell out soon after the restaurant opened.
“The reason I pulled the license was because there’s a lot of employees that weren’t getting paid,” Flavor Flav told the Baltimore Sun.
However, Mr. Cimino accused the rapper of fraud and earning money from his efforts. He also suggested that the business could have thrived if the restaurant had franchised.
According to the news provider, Flavor Flav, whose real name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr., is looking to open an entertainment venue in Las Vegas, which could include a Flav’s Fried Chicken restaurant, as well as another venue in Iowa.
