Business Licenses and Permits

Businesses in Alabama are being reminded they only have two days left until the business license renewal deadlines passes.

The state extended the deadline for the renewal of licenses until November 30th to account for the extra work caused by the introduction of the state’s new immigration laws.

If businesses fail to register their renewals by the end of November they will, however, face penalties, including the revocation of business licenses and fines.

Since its introduction, the law has caused controversy within the state and court action has been taken in an attempt to block legislation.

Many companies have taken exception to the increased burden placed upon them by the law and complaints have also been registered over public officials using the immigration law to prevent immigrants from renewing required permits on manufactured homes.

The deadline for the renewal of manufactured home permits is also November 30th and many immigrants fear that they will not be able to meet the deadline, as a result of persistent attempts to block applications by officials, Oanow.com reported.
