Jet refuelling facility in San Bernardino operating without a license

An upscale jet refuelling facility at San Bernardino International Airport, California has been operating without a business license.

Million Air, which supplies private and corporate aircraft, has been without a license since April 2011, city officials told the Redlands Daily Facts.

Since it began operations in 2010, the company has been one of the most high profile businesses at the airport and has been called an example of the airport’s “potential prosperity”.

Vanessa Barajas, business registration inspector for the city of San Bernardino, explained that the owner of the company Scot Spencer has not renewed his license and is the focus of a federal corruption investigation over allegations of criminal conspiracy, bribery, money laundering and wire and mail fraud at the airport.

What’s more, Mr. Spencer has not provided officials with gross receipts to determine the company’s business license renewal fee.

San Bernardino International Airport is undergoing redevelopment to raise its profile as a major civilian and commercial airport.
