A man has been charged with operating without a business license in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
William Stanley III, 52, was running a construction company without proper authorization, making it the third time officials have discovered Mr. Stanley without a license, Myrtle Beach Online reported.
The city was alerted to Mr. Stanley’s actions when complaints were registered with the police about him doing paving work in the city.
Construction companies in Myrtle Beach are regulated by the Construction Services Department, which enforces laws relating to zoning, signs, tree protection, lighting and glare, and trade permits.
The city is rapidly expanding to capitalize on its thriving tourism industry, particularly on the Grand Strand, which is one of the fastest growing areas in the US.
Popular with entertainment centers, restaurants, motels, golf courses, business and resort centers, and general services, the Grand Strand in a key area for construction development and expansion.
